Module on Flash Learning Objects

Renaming Drag and Target Objects

Getting Started

This time you're going to work with a file that already has some of the work done for you. The file is based on the quiz template and configured following the procedures covered in the earlier lessons. The four default Drag and Target objects have been modified to contain images of food and associated text. You must make sure that the Drag objects are associated with the appropriate Target objects to make the quiz work properly. To do this, you'll inspect the Properties of each object and rename them accordingly, so that Drag1 is associated with Target1, etc.

Summary

You learned how to view and rename Drag and Target objects so that they are properly associated and your quiz works the way it should. The quiz has changed a lot from the template that it was based on.

Next you'll use the same Flash file and see how to duplicate a Drag object to create new one. Of course, you'll still have to swap new images and text into the duplicated object, and you'll have to rename the object. And in the lesson after that, you'll duplicate a Target object, customize it, and associate it with the new Drag object, using the component inspector to modify the Drag and Drop Interaction.
